Sadly, when doing my research, I didn't see any known ways of combatting a Kuri in practice. I will definitely update if I find any information! It sounds like a terrible thing to endure.

Based on my general understanding of the supernatural, I would suggest starting with purification and/or exorcism. The methods for purification and banishment of malicious spirits will be different depending on the practitioners' spiritual systems/religions.
